The Stanton Lions Club was chartered on December 8, 1947.  It was formed by a group of concerned Business Men who wanted to make the community a better place.  Work soon commenced on building a community center and park.  The Lions Community Clubhouse gave community groups a place to meet and was equipped with a kitchen.  Local leaders gave helped the lions build the Clubhouse.  Walter Knott loaned the Lions Club money to cover construction costs, Orco Block donated building materials, and the Lions volunteered their time to construct the clubhouse.  Our Clubhouse was completed in 1951. ...

Stanton Lions Support the Community

Stanton Lions participate in many city functions.  We help operate game booths, and sell sweets in our food booths.  Lions donate all of the food that is sold in the booths.  Profit is donated to charity.

Lions Celebrate Dr. Gene Wilkins’ 50 Years as a Lion and new member

The Stanton Lions Club surprised Dr. Gene Wilkins by awarding him a plaque for 50-years of Lions service during its annual Christmas party held in their “Milt Blumenthal Club House” Thursday, Dec. 16. Wilkins was a charter member of the former Cypress Lions Club where he served as president for two one-year terms.
