Hobby City Hosts Pancake Breakfast

If you have any questions, Please contact David Parikh dave@stantonlions.com

STANTON CA Hobby City has teamed up with Stanton Lions Club to host a pancake breakfast with 100 percent proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton. The breakfast will be held at Hobby City, 1238 S. Beach Boulevard, Saturday December 11th from 8:00 am -12:00 pm .

David Parikh, President of the Stanton Lions Club says, "the concept behind the event is simple. Give people a good deal, and they will appreciate it. For two dollars, you get pancakes, coffee and orange juice. We will raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton and we will raise awareness about all the services the club offers kids in the community.

The cost is so low because everything is donated and every member donates his or her time.  Hobby City’s donation of their facility is great. Hobby City has been a strong supporter of young people in the community for a long time. Everyone appreciates Hobby City Merchant Association for its support.

We know the funds will be put to good use. All of the revenue--not just profit but the gross revenue--goes to the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton . Guests will also have an opportunity to win a gift basket valued at over $75.00."

The Boys & Girls Club of Stanton has after school programs that give kids an opportunity to complete homework assignments and receive tutoring in all school subjects, use computers to learn about digital arts and the Internet, join sport leagues, fitness and health programs, learn to sing and join the Youth Choir, join in on board games or bumper pool and participate in arts and crafts programs. There is also a free daily snack program and weekly cooking classes provided by Second Harvest Food Bank. Pam Schoonover, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton says that the funds raised at this event will be used to purchase much needed educational items used by the children who attend the Club. The Club is here to help the children in our community succeed in school.
